Santa Rosa Beach

Santa Rosa Beach is one of the oldest beach town along 30-A and extends northward past U.S. Highway 98.  Santa Rosa Beach is the official title of most South Walton and true locals will tell you that it lies between Blue Mountain Beach and Dune Allen Beach.

The beaches are some of the world’s best, with sugar-fine sand, emerald green surf and plenty of beach accesses along the nearly 17 mile stretch of Santa Rosa Beach.  The neighborhoods and planned communities that speckle 30a in Santa Rosa Beach are perched high on the hills of Blue Mountain as well as nestled cozily along the greens of Santa Rosa Beach Golf Club.

Blue Mountain Beach is the eastern-most neighborhood in Santa Rosa Beach and boasts stately and conveniently private condominiums such as Adagio and charming modern planned developments like Red Fish Village.   The Blue Mountain Creamery (the best place to get a double dip), and 30a’s only health food and organic grocery store, For the Health of It , are both located in Blue Mountain Beach.  Further west, the coveted community of Gulf Place is the epicenter of Santa Rosa Beach, with large green lawns, quaint boutiques, cafes and fine dining.

A pedestrian path runs the length of Santa Rosa Beach and invites visitors and residents to slow down, listen for the ice-cream truck…and take the long way home.
